Mums Make Porn
Provocative and purposeful documentary series - produced by Firecracker Films for Channel 4
Easy access hard core porn is having a huge impact on teenagers’ attitude to sex, consent and their own bodies. Parents are concerned…but what can they possibly do about it? Well…how about throw themselves into the porn industry and write, direct and produce their very own ‘alternative’ porn film? That’s exactly the challenge we give five British mums, in this hilarious yet hard-hitting series.
This was a personal passion project for Amy Maher (Nariva Creative’s founder) - inspired by a meeting with feminist porn director Erica Lust years before. Amy came up with the original the idea, pitched it to Channel 4, and led the development, working with a great team at Firecracker Films to produce a extended proof of concept tape, and develop the series proposal.
Status: The UK series was broadcast in March 2019 on Channel 4.
